The FIA and Formula E have announced that Brands Hatch will be the location of the London E-Prix following the release of the provisional calendar for the 2026-27 season. The iconic circuit in Kent will host the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship on 29/30 May 2027 for Rounds 13/14.
With Formula E bringing a double-header weekend to the historic Brands Hatch Circuit, World Championship single-seater racing returns for the first time in more than four decades and not only this - the move to Brands brings the pinnacle of electric racing at a track with a rich heritage and ever increasing innovation.
The grid for the double header will be tackling the 3.916km Grand Prix loop, with some small modifications which will support Formula E regeneration. With the arrival of the GEN4 car, Formula E arrives at Brands Hatch for a new era of sustainability and speed with a car that offers a substantial boost in both power and velocity. The GEN4 era also comes with 100% recyclable or reusable construction.
Furthermore, as for entering this new era, there comes a new race format which features both a classic race known as the E-Prix but also an all-new shorter race which will be known as the E-PrixUnleashed. This will showcase the full, unrestricted power of the GEN4 cars and deliver a fast-paced race.
With Brands Hatch returning to the global single-seater stage, it becomes part of the most expansive Formula E calendar to date with 21 races - a record high, spanning across 13 global cities!
