In damp and tricky conditions, Josh Brookes claimed a dramatic win for DAO Racing
Honda, outfoxing Leon Haslam with a bold pass at the chicane on the final lap. Haslam
held on for second, while defending champion Kyle Ryde managed to salvage third.
Brookes’s win was his first of the season and came in challenging weather —
underlining his racecraft and composure when others might slip up.
This one will go down as one of the great comebacks of the year. Bradley Ray, starting
from 14th, carved through the pack in spectacular fashion and struck late to take the
victory — edging Leon Haslam at the line. Kyle Ryde could only manage fourth, limiting
the damage.
The race was interrupted by a red flag after Peter Hickman’s machine leaked oil onto the
circuit, forcing a long 2 hour clean-up and a shortened restart of only 8 laps.
Christian Iddon rounded out the podium in third.
Going into the final round at Brands Hatch, the title fight couldn’t be tighter:
Kyle Ryde still leads the standings, but his margin is down to 30 points over Bradley Ray.
Leon Haslam remains mathematically alive, sitting third, though he faces a tough task
to close the gap.
With 105 points still on the table at Brands Hatch, everything is to play for.
